I will admit it, I have become addicted to GetGlue. If you’ve never heard of it, the site can best be described as Foursquare for those that prefer to chill at home. And, lets face it, that’s pretty much where I am most of the time.
With GetGlue, can check into TV shows and movies you are watching, albums you are listening to, books you are reading, things you like…pretty much anything that you can find on any of their partner sites. GetGlue rewards loyal users with stickers (similar to badges) that are displayed on your profile when you check-in to your favorite shows and movies. And unlike Foursquare, you can get actual copies of your stickers. Every 30 days, you can request your stickers be mailed to you and they will send you any new ones you earned.
But it isn’t just about the stickers. Based on what you tell GetGlue that you like using the Quick Rate feature, you will get suggestions of similar entertainment. Also, once you start writing reviews for items, you can become the Guru and have special privileges on the page and be entered to win prizes. Currently, there are apps for the iPhone and Android, with iPad coming soon. Today is National No-Phone Day. The statistics show that nearly 6,000 people died in 2008 in crashes involving a distracted driver and more than a half-million were injured. I will admit it. I used to text and drive. I don’t do it anymore. Especially after watching Oprah’s show today:

Paramount and MTV Films have joined forces to make a 3rd installment of JACKASS in “eye-popping 3D” for release on October 15, 2010. The film is set to begin shooting in January with Jeff Tremaine directing and producing along with Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville who also stars. Knoxville says:
“We’re going to take the same 3D technology James Cameron used on ‘Avatar’ and stick it up Steve-O’s butt. We’re taking stupid to a whole new dimension.”
Since it seems that every movie lately (at least the last 3 that I have seen) is in 3D, I suppose this shouldn’t surprise me. It’s not that I don’t enjoy a little Jackass once in a while. I think everyone does, even if they don’t want to admit it. I am even known to watch Jackass and Viva La Bam marathons when they have them. However, I’m really not sure I want to see Jackass stunts like the video below in 3D. I mean, I’m sure it will be cool and all, but some of the things are already gross enough.

I found this video earlier on People.com. Apparently, Kate Gosselin has started shooting her new show.
Does TLC actually think people want to watch just her on a show? Especially working in a diner? It was painful enough watching her serve cereal to her 8 children every episode. Those poor diner patrons. I think it’s best she get a non-TV job and spend some quality time with her kids and not her bodyguard.
Dave Matthews Band performed on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, November 21st. Dave has been known to act in small parts in movies and TV and I was hoping he would show up in a skit during the show…and he did! Check out the video below for the hilarious clip!
